Just as former New York Governor Eliot Sptizer does his best to resurrect his career like a phoenix rising from the ashes, it looks like Pennsylvania Governor Rendell is poised to take a hit for hiring a call girl from the same prostitution Ring. Or will he?

If two men wearing backpacks are seen forcing themselves into a home which has been empty of late, regardless of whether they were black, white or purple, wouldn’t you call the police?  And if you were the responding officer wouldn’t you approach the situation cautiously? After all, how many police officers are gunned down each year responding to similar scenarios?

If the police officer is to be believed, then Professor Gates, who turned out to be breaking in to his own home, is not fit to be a professor of anything, especially a professor of race relations. Read more

Good for Officer Jim Crowley; he didn’t fold under some public criticism and one shot coming from President Obama.  He felt the procedures that he followed in the wake of answering a break in call was correct and that no prejudice was used. 

“That apology will never come from me as Jim Crowley, it won’t come from me as sergeant in the Cambridge Police Department,” Sgt. James Crowley told Boston radio station WEEI. “Whatever anybody else chooses to do in the name of the city of Cambridge or the Cambridge Police Department which are beyond my control, I don’t worry about that. I know what I did was right. I have nothing to apologize for.”  He later stated “He’s the president of the United States, and I support the president to a point,” Crowley told WEEI. “I think it’s disappointing that he waded into what should be a local issue and something that is — really that plays out here. As he himself had said at the beginning of that press conference, he didn’t know all the facts. He certainly doesn’t based on those comments. I just think it was very disappointing.”

President Obama, who clearly is still waist deep in a love fest with himself, felt the need to weigh in on this subject despite admitting not knowing all the facts.  Hmm….isn’t this the same guy who said that he waited 3 days to comment on the Chris Dodd/AIG bonus scandal because he wanted to know what the facts were before he commented.  Aside from that being a B.S. excuse, he has always said that he likes to wait for until all the facts are in before taking a position. 

But in the case of his friend, Henry Louis Gates Jr, a fellow African American, he had no problem shooting from the hip and taking an immediate stance clearly based on race.  “But I think it’s fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 … that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately.”

I just want to give a loud shout out to Sgt Jim Crowley, who seems to be standing strong in the face of what is becoming a far too frequent occurance of shouting racist.  And shame on you Mr. President, for commenting on a situation that feeds into racial tension when you did not have the full story.

I hate most Harley Davidson Motorcycles because they are loud, obnoxious, overpriced and underpowered.  Ironically, the same can be said for most Harley riders.

I just returned from a weekend in Gettysburg - which is a quaint, historic town that many families visit as a right-of-passage. 175,000 Americans fought in and around this town during what became the turning point in the Civil War. So, woman beater Chris Brown wants forgiveness for beating up Rhianna.  Hmm, could it be that he is truly sorry?  NO!!!!  This animal is only sorry because he wants his career back, and that’s the only reason he’s sorry.  Just like Michael Vick was sorry about having dog fights; because he got caught and his career suffered.

Chris Brown is typical of today’s celebrity; Get away with anything and everything and then apologize only if you lose out financially.  I’m sick of it!!!  If Chris Brown was John Q. Public he would’ve lost so much more and spent time behind bars.  But given that he has some manufactured talent and sells albums, he got away with what amounts to a slap on the wrist.

I really hope that Chris Brown’s career stays derailed forever.  If I were a record label executive I wouldn’t want the headaches of putting up with woman’s groups anyway, so I’d leave him to his own woman beating devices.  Frankly, no record label in the world really needs him anyway, they can just manufacture another so-called star.

What gives smokers the right to use my world as their ash tray?  Grrrrrr!  Few things make me angrier than some yellow-fingered, stain-toothed jerk flicking his or her cigarette out their car window.  It’s called littering! But most pig smokers don’t give it a second thought.

This is an almost daily occurrence during my commute to work…  and I am freaking enraged!  Just because you don’t give a crap how your car and breath smells, doesn’t mean that the rest of the world feels the same way about our environment. I am talking to you Mr. Stinky-Ass Butthead! Read more
